My name is Kevin Mark Sheret and I live in Llanllyfni North Wales (near Caernarfon). I am currently at Coleg Menai Bangor studying for a BTEC GNVQ Advanced Business Studies qualification to go with my GCSE's (see My CV). I am 17 years old and a family member of four which includes my father Francis, my mother Sylvia and my younger sister Donna Sheret. My father works at the local HydroElectrical Power Station, First Hydro's Dinorwig Power Station. I support Manchester United Football Club and go to see them regulary as I co-own a season ticket I love Man Utd and see them as one of the most important things in my life. My favourite match would have to be the FA Cup win against Liverpool when Ole scored in the last minute, just brilliant!! (stuffed the scousers again)I also play football and I play for the local men's team Nantlle Vale, I am a goalkeeper.My other hobbies are rallying, I enjoy watching rallying very much and hope to try in a few in a couple of years.I also like music very much and enjoy listening to Idlewild, Oasis, The Verve, Manics, Fat Boy Slim, Ash, Prodigy and of course the best band in the world ever Super Furry Animals.I also like going out with my mates and getting pissed!! Not only I delivered the paper but also helped out in the sorting out. 1996-1997 Milkman, Compton Dairies, Llanllyfni Again a job which required me as an employee to get up early about 5:00 a.m. , consist again of walking or running around in all weathers delivering milk. Also help in, loading up the van at morning which was very heavy work. I delivered milk every day of the week and sometimes on Saturday�s I helped out on the computer side of things and also went out collecting money. 1997-1997 Kitchen Assistant / Waiter, Cwellyn Arms, Rhyd Ddu (Duties as below) 1998-98 Kitchen Assistant, Dinas Grills, Dinas Dinlle Here I am asked to do many different task such as cleaning, stock control and so on. I work sometimes all day sometimes getting up and riding to work, 4 miles, at 10:00 a.m. Also I had to withstand long tiring hours of non stop work which could be something in the region of 8 hours, which meant working late hours, sometimes up to about 10:30 p.m. 1998-present Sales Assistant, Iceland Store, Caernarfon I am currently still working at Iceland on a part time basis and mostly work on week nights and weekends. I assist in the sales of the goods and work mostly on the freezer section. Other duties include work in chilled and grocery section as well as working on the till. Work Experience May 1997 Dinorwig Power Station Here I spent a whole week experiencing work in a different environment. I had to cope with different situations from computer work, to manual work and also Engineering which I very much liked. I was allowed to take part in engineering work for most of my time there and in that time I learnt a great deal. I also took part in a project which consisted of repairing and overhauling an 18 kV Air Circuit Breaker. The work I did here in Dinorwig was very satisfying and it was a very mentally and physically demanding line of work but I enjoyed it very much, especially the Electrical and Electronics side of the work. INTERESTS & ACTIVITIES I have a very wide area of interest which consist mostly of sport, more often than not football, but also I am very interested in Information Technology especially using such applications as The Internet which I surf a lot at home. I am also very interested in cars. I also like to investigate into different businesses and look at the way they operate. Every weekend I take part in football activities and other fitness sports. I play football for Nantlle Vale, a local team, and I train with them once a week. Both my club and I know that schoolwork and thereafter my employment would come before football. I have represented Gwynedd in both football and basketball. I also played football in the International Ian Rush Soccer Tournament. Last year I was a regular member of the Chester City Football Club under 16 team. I have also represented Eryri in the TSB National Welsh Championships in Swansea when I ran the 800m. COMPUTER SKILLS I am a very fast typist and can type on average about 50 words per minute. I can easily understand most computer software and applications. I can also set up computers and hardware. I have been using computer for the good part of eight years and I regard my level of knowledge in the subject as pretty good. I use my computer at home daily and I am very familiar with the Microsoft Windows program. I am studied Information Technology at school at GCSE level and was given a grade �A� for my efforts. CAREER AMBITIONS Even though I am currently still at college I have been giving my next step great consideration. I have been considering a career in Business. I would like to go into Business for many reasons but most of all it�s my fascination of what can be done and I would like to be a part of that, after all it is the way forward. I would very much like eventually to become a Manager of a big company and would be more than happy to work extra hard to gain qualifications such as extra qualifications to the BTEC GNVQ Advanced Business Studies that I hopefully will gain to reach my goal. I would like an on the job training and gain qualifications whilst at work which I would work very hard to try and achieve. LANGUAGES I am fluent in both Welsh and English.
